The League of Women Voters of Washington County and the NAACP Washington Branch are holding a “Meet the Candidates Night” 6:30 pm, October 14, 2026, at Washington High School. The event is hosted by the school’s Student Life Group.

The League of Women Voters and NAACP are nonpartisan organizations that seek to educate voters and promote citizen participation in government. The League and the NAACP do not support any political party or candidate. We have a long and successful history of running “Meet the Candidate Nights” throughout the country for many years.

This forum will provide an opportunity for residents of your district to hear your views on issues important to them. It will be moderated by an independent local journalist and will consist of questions prepared by the League and NAACP,  and from the audience. As the event hosts, Washington High School students will be serving as greeters and gathering written questions from the audience. Every effort will be made to give each candidate equal opportunity to express his/her views.
